You could also find a 6 cylinder and swap in the automatic from that. Have to think about plenty of extras like a computer, dash, shifter, pedals, ETC... Its been done with plenty of TJ's. Definite pain though. WebJul 13, 2024 · It is far more cost effective to trade your current Jeep for one that already has a manual transmission. If you trade used for used, the actual cost to you is very low. Of course, buying new to replace used won't be cheap. But you may be surprised how it compares to finding a donor with everything and spending the time to do the conversion.
